Inautec Removable Media Storage and Use Policy

This training ensures that all employees understand INAUTEC’s Removable Media Storage & Use Policy, which defines how removable media (e.g., USB drives, external disks, CDs/DVDs) must be handled and protected. It explains the risks—such as data leakage, malware, and unauthorized access—and why controlled, secure use is essential for protecting company systems and sensitive information.

1. Policy Document
Review the Removable Media Storage & Use Policy (PDF) in the QMS & ISMS MS Teams channel. It includes:

  • Purpose and scope
  • Allowed and prohibited removable media
  • Rules for storing and handling company data
  • Encryption and IT authorization requirements
  • Restrictions on data copying and transfers
  • Malware scanning before use
  • Reporting lost or stolen media
  • No long-term storage on portable devices
  • Secure storage and proper disposal
  • Possible disciplinary actions for misuse

2. Visual Explanation (Optional)

You are encouraged to watch the optional visual explanation to better understand the risks, examples, and correct handling of removable media.

3. Awareness Test

After reviewing the policy (and optionally the video), please complete the awareness test to confirm your understanding of the Removable Media Storage & Use Policy.

Reviewing the policy and completing the test are mandatory for all employees who use or handle removable media, as part of INAUTEC’s information security, compliance, and data protection obligations.
